FOR UTAH HOUSE DISTRICT 51

I grew up on a small farm in rural Idaho as one of eight children. Farm life teaches you that resources are limited, hard work matters, and when something needs fixing, you fix it. My faith, family, and community shaped my belief in personal responsibility, service, and working for what you know is right.

Today, I work as an IT Program Management consultant with contracts supporting the Department of Defense. My background is in information systems, program management, and emerging technology. I help organizations operate efficiently, manage budgets responsibly, and solve problems before they become crises. I believe government should function the same way, disciplined, accountable, and focused on results.

I am running for Utah House District 51 because our community deserves practical representation that puts residents first. For years, this seat has gone largely uncontested. Healthy communities benefit from accountability and leaders who listen carefully before acting. My loyalty is to the people of this district, not party leadership or special interests.

As our district grows, housing affordability is one of the most pressing challenges families face. We need to responsibly increase housing supply by streamlining unnecessary bottlenecks, supporting local builders, and maintaining quality standards that protect property values. Growth should create opportunity, not price out the people who already live here.

Infrastructure must keep pace with growth. Roads, water systems, and essential services require disciplined, forward-looking planning so residents are not burdened later with higher property taxes or costly corrections. Smart growth protects both taxpayers and long-term stability.

Cost of living is top of mind for many families. If we provide tax relief, it should prioritize working families, small businesses, and farmers. Tax policy should be thoughtful and targeted, strengthening local households and producers without placing additional strain on residents.

Education and workforce readiness are essential for Utah’s future. Students need practical pathways into trades, agriculture, technology, and entrepreneurship. Technology in schools should be guided by professionals and used responsibly. Preparing the next generation for meaningful work strengthens families and keeps opportunity here at home.

We also have a responsibility to protect our land and water. Stewardship is not political; it is practical. Long-term thinking protects public health, property values, and future generations.

Government should work for small businesses, working families, and farmers. Transparency, accessibility, and accountability are not optional; they are the foundation of public trust in our government.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing the organ and piano, spending time with friends, and being outdoors with my two dogs. I am grateful to be engaged to my greatest supporter and best friend. I believe public service is simply an extension of community service which should be grounded, accessible, and focused on real people.

I am running to bring steady, practical leadership to District 51. Leadership focuses on common sense, long-term stability, and the everyday concerns of our community.
